FAIRCHILD HILLER FH-227 (VH-TFD)
Ansett F27 MMO and TAA F27 TFD at Devonport, circa 1978
Comments
A great shot at "Devon"...if you look closely, the starboard prop of AN F27 MMO is still rotating at idle power, but the port engine has wound down, after the HP fuel lever has been closed soon after vacating the runway. This was SOP when taxiing in, given it took a long time for the Dart engine/Rotol prop to stop rotating, which presented a grave risk to ground personnel waiting to unload baggage from the forward leftside door, just aft of the cockpit.
