Had an unscheduled stop here due to a maintenance issue. This was on a Friday evening as the remaining mechanic was leaving for the weekend. Regardless of his plans, he dove right in and had me on my way. The culture here is clearly one of complete customer service. These folks could not be more helpful and professional. NOT GA FRIENDLY Private Sky used to be a great FBO- excellent service, reasonable fuel prices, and reasonable fees. But they are now "under new management". These new people have no clue about GA airplanes. They set absurdly high facility fee- $255 for our light twin. (A C-172 that landed just before me was charged $175). This is waivable with 80 gallons of avgas- about 3X the amount required by other FBO's. Their fuel prices are about $3.50/ gal more than other airports in the area. Their fuel prices, facility fees, and the minimum amount to waive the fee are more than any other FBO that we have encountered in the state of Florida. And they just do not seem to care one bit that their policies are completely out of step with other FBO's. Oh and their facility has not been updated in the 20 years we have used RSW, and is no longer in good condition. Fly to FMY and take a car. | ||
