Van's RV-15 (N7357)
One of the biggest attractions of this year's EAA AirVenture Oshkosh was the first public appearance of the Van's RV-15. This particular airframe is the engineering test prototype and started flying in June 2022 out of Van's home base in Aurora, Oregon. The RV-15, the company's first high-wing offering, is powered by a 210 HP Lycoming IO-390 engine and seats two in a side-by-side configuration. Vans are aiming for the RV-15 to have a top speed of at least 140 knots in level flight, while also being able to take off and land in 400 feet or less. With expectations of Van's latest product being very high and the RV-15 generating an enormous amount of interest from potential buyers, the company has said they will be taking their time to get it right before it goes to market.
