Boeing 747-400 (VH-OJS)

A very, very rare appearance in Manchester. This aircraft came in from Sydney early in the morning on Monday 16/07/12 with a large (400+) Australian religious group on board. A few days later, the religious group made their way by road down to Cardiff, Wales. I got this photo on Saturday 21/07/12 of the aircraft taking off empty down to Cardiff to pick them up and take them to Lyon, France. This photo was taken from the viewing mound at the 'southside' location next to runway 23L. It had been cloudy all morning in Manchester but just as the aircraft was half way down runway 23R on its' takeoff roll, the good lord our god answered all our prayers and the sun came out for literally 30 seconds, just long enough for me to get this beautiful photo. The second after I pressed the shutter button, the sun then disappeared again for another two hours! My prayers were answered!
