This beauty flew with the California ANG but the high point of this plane's history occurred when it was the co-star in a Mercury Cougar XR-7 with Charlie's Angels very own Farrah Fawcett.

Sweet Shot Ken! Sunrise, or Sunset? Any idea why the closed the airport? Any other aircraft there? Is the long term plan to keep the aircraft there, or will the be scrapping/moving it?

FAA closed airport as it was unsafe. Lots of hills in the area and a short runway.
This is a sunrise.

Owner of the Don Q Inn was one of the DC-6 Pilots for Eisenhower. He had this Stratofreighter flown back in the early 80's I believe. Airport was closed when I was taking flying lessons back in the late 1980's. Owner died several years ago and the motel / restaurant had a fire.

Do not know status of plane.

Yo, Ken. Every shot is *****. TY for the visual "visit" to this year's festivities at KOSH. And I'd sure like to have this one in the S Show folder. OK? (Thumbs Up)
