wow! fantastic plane & shot!!
My Dad worked at Lockheed Burbank when these planes were in production. This one sure looks like a beauty. Lots of pics from LOWI this week. Can anybody tell me where that is. Must be close with all the U.S. registrations.
My god I'm in love. Great shot!
Hover your curser over the LOWI, it will answer your question.
And yes it's a great photo, and the P-38 looks best with early cowlings.

Thanks for your comments. The pilot btw is Raimund Riedmann who is Flight Operations Manager & Chief Pilot of the fixed-wing aircraft of the Flying Bulls fleet.

Just beautiful.
There is a P-38 at the March Airbase Museum... Those planes look very menacing with the armament protruding from the nose.... I can see why they were so effective. When you have the guns directly in your line of sight, it's easier to bring down a target...
Wonder how much all that chrome weighs?
Thanks for your interesting comments!
...OMG!...pure polished sex.......
