Still the Queen of the Skies as far as I'm concerned. Great shot, beautiful light.

Showing another Kalitta 747 that hasn't been run off the end of a runway and destroyed after the pilot heard a "noise"!

@Robert Mills Jr., For all the hard work Kallita has been doing for the U.S., that's not a very nice thing to say at this time! I'm not a fan of them but they brought a close family friend of mine home from Afgan. and I thank them for the respect they showed, unloading his casket & their condolence to the family!

@Robert Mills Jr, That's really what you have to say? Wow.

So what would we have to say about a pilot who heard a noise he or she did not normally hear and ignored it? Damned if you do damned if you don't. NEVER criticize a pilot for pulling the plug when there is no time to trouble shoot comprehensively and still time to abort with at least some semblance of safety if not survivability.

Admittedly I am not familiar with the incident Mills Jr. is referring to, but as a longtime private pilot and longtime critical care paramedic I definitely know a thing or two about having to make critical decisions very rapidly.
