A disc and wobble check in progress on a Pratt and Whitney R-1830. Yes jobeard. Another way to reference a radial engine, as opposed to a "flat" or "boxer" engine. Cheers!!
Pretty intuitive to me, jobeard. Pistons arrranged in a CIRCLE around a common shaft= ROUND. Pistons opposing each other in pairs along a flat plane= FLAT. Been an aviation nerd for many DECADES!
