The DC9 is alive in 2021 :) So stoked to get another classic in this amazing winter light!

New paint would make it look a little happier.

Unfortunately, this is my least favorite aircraft. They have been around forever! I do prefer the MD 80 a little better. On a positive note, it’s still nice to see the picture and that old bird in the air flying.
Cute. They could make a Pixar movie about this old bird!
This is a seriously significant aircraft type. It is the flagship of rear-engine twin airliners with T-tails, and while the BAC-111 flew first, the phenomenal success of this type set the mold for decades. That success also set the stage for the McDonnell-Douglas merger. Check out the DC-9 story, it is an eye-opener.
