Is this a great country or what.

Can't be easy loading horses onto a 727. Wonder how they react to the altitude.
Probably coming in for the National Finals Rodeo this week.
In my earliest airline days, my airline flew many kinds of livestock and equine charters on DC8-63 aircraft fitted out with individual stalls, including a sling on a rail running the length of the fuselage ceiling so that the onboard veterinary doctor or horse "tenders" could reach each stall to feed or check each horse for any distress. A number of these flights travelled from Kentucky and East Coast US farms to Sydney, Australia. Long flight with multiple tech stops including CYVR, which is where I was involved. Although thoroughbreds are known to be quite high-strung, our safe delivery rate was 100%
Great picture. I miss seeing these jets but don't miss how loud they were! I had an apartment in the late 80's just Southeast of DFW airport across the highway. Roommates and I would just stop talking as 727's would fly overhead on departure. I could suffer 1 every now and then I guess ;) .
Flying the horses is a great time the handlers are fantastic and loading went really well. Best passengers I have ever had.
Do the horses have to keep the center seat open and wear masks?
Classic beauty, as well as the cargo.
