Fairchild-Republic Thunderbolt 2 —

I took this pix many years ago as the A-10 went from the boom to the wing position. Lindberg is yelling out the window to go faster. This photo was made by putting together my A/R pix and a pix an old painting of Lindberg crossing the ocean. The two photos were put together years ago with 35 MM photography and a tripler..... with lots of light (over 25 years ago). I am learning to use PS Elements, so I used it to edit the breaks and a little background work. The Term "PUSH it UP" is a term Fighter Pilots used to say over the radio to tell the Tanker to accelerate from orbit speed to A/R Speed. With the A-10, the tanker had to slow to A/R speed. Notice how much the A-10 has changed over the years
