A great shot at Essendon...1978 was getting very late for the B170. I think due to structural issues. Although the Bristol Frightener was an early Post WW2 design, she did not have the fatigue reserves that had been built into (by aero engineering conservatism) the much earlier DC3, that dated from the mid 1930's.
