An old film image taken with my Pentax K1000.

Nice photo. I suppose this thing is either flying in Africa or is now beer cans.
very nice. A UA B767-300 also in the background
Never did get to fly on any of the -500s but I was fortunate enough to fly on all of the -1s except the one that crashed at DFW. I miss that first class service.
Finest airliner ever built and she's adorned in the classic livery that I had the privilege to fly on over a dozen times in the mid to late 70's & early 80's.
Oh how I miss seeing her in the skies!

Sad to see the end of the wide body. Commercial aircraft is a pile of boring mess.. its super exciting to see a 757 or 767..
Great historical shot! I also used a Pentax K1000 camera back in the day - good camera. Well done!
Paul Wisgerhof, The last remaining L-1011 TriStar in service is the Stargazer air-launch mothership, operated by Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems.
Finest airliner I ever had the privilege to pilot. It had some of the finest engineering there was and ahead of its time.
I was a passenger on Delta L-1011's flying ATL-BOS every Friday night for months at a time in the late 80s. A great aircraft and her kind is sorely missed today.
I was on many of these during my Delta days: 3.5 million miles.
Often upgraded to First, unlike the new jets it had a great deal of leg room and storage.
Loved the aircraft. Loved the DC 11 in First from the U. S. to Japan.

Any idea when this was taken? The UA has a livery that I don't remember being out when Delta had L-1011s or that livery. Then again, I could be wrong!
My Dad was the Director of Flt. Training for Delta and retired on the L10ll in 1977 with a last flight from SFO to ATL. He went on to reorganize the Coca-Cola Flight Department. I was there for all of it. A great plane a greater man.
Two classics: The Pentax K1000 and the Tristar!! Fantastic!
Gold!
Great old shot Chris ! Always loved the Tri-Star; flew on it with Eastern and later Air Transat. And I also had a Pentax K1000.
Nice photo
Could be taken at SFO.
