Just love that paint scheme with the smile. It expresses flying pleasure and brings a smile to observers, workers and passengers. Wish some airline would buy the rights to the scheme and repaint their airplanes, we need people smiling again.
Growing up in San Diego we saw this paint scheme all the time. This photo certainly brings back the memories!
...I worked N742PS this morning at KCLT...there's only a few of us original PSA "Raisins" still working at AA, and we always enjoy seeing her pass thru....
What's the relation between AA and PSA?
@Carlos Rivas AA owns PSA. It is a bit more complex but that is the short version. If you Google it you will find some articles detailing what happened. I also miss this livery. Used to always see them in the 80s at LAX.
Just saw this airplane landing in KBUR 3 days ago roaring to a stop on runway 08 looking like it was years that have long been in the past.
Tribute to an airline which was chewed up and spit out by US Air.
