I don't think you posted this pictured by accident, but since you didn't mention it, I will: this aircraft crashed today due to apparent engine failure.
I saw one fly at the Reno Air Races. It flew the formula course. They timed it with an hour glass. Slow as slow.
Sad to see it crash. I am local to the area and it has always been one of the more famous planes in Socal.
