todays cockpit layout is one thing, flight safety is another. The basic T for instrumentation is gone, the basic flying skills, needle, ball and airspeed are hidden for the sake of digitalisation, colored picture screens can't replace basic flying instruments as good as your "butt" training. Fly<ing is still done by the seat of your pants and certainly not by electrons iluminating screens and autopilots.

Of course that help but beawere of the batteries failures.. the minimum stay pencil, (sharpened) , maps and charts.... But it' pretty...

Are people kidding here? The "needle and ball" are very much NOT hidden, and the airspeed and altitude are very easy to see. There are good reasons military and airlines adopted "tape" displays decades ago. I flew for 30 years on planes with six-pack round gauges, and now fly the same models with Garmin G1000 displays. It is far superior for instrument flying - which should NEVER be done by seat of your pants "butt" flying.

Concerns about battery and over dependence on electrical? There is a powerful backup battery for the primary display, and the backup display runs completely independent. There are far fewer points of failure in these systems than in those from 25 years ago.
