Embraer ERJ-190 (VH-ZPT)
Comments
Nice photo Caleb. Interesting livery. Originally a Virgin Blue aircraft, but that certainly isn't VB livery. I note the plane is leased by Cobham from Avolon (that's the spelling according to Airfleets)).
Thanks Gavin, An interesting back story with this E190. After being withdrawn from service with Virgin Australia it was flown to the United States to go into storage. After some time in storage it was acquired by JetGo based out of the East Coast. It was painted and being prepared to go into service. But the Airline went into Voluntary Administration and its plans were put on hold. Eventually it was leased to Cobham Aviation over here in WA as the company looks to replace the ageing RJ100/BAe146 fleet with E190s and/or Q400s. It had the temporary Cobham logo placed towards the front of the fuselage. The Aircraft still has the Virgin Australia interior with the business class seating.
Thanks for that comprehensive info Caleb. I expect that means the RJs over here will eventually be replaced by Q400s because we don't have the distances you have.
