Boeing 737-700 (N908WN)
A rather unique "parallel taxi" shot shows Southwest's N908WN taxiing north on Alpha as a Nevada Air Guard "High Rollers" Hercules (79-0476) taxies north on Bravo. The passengers on the right had a super closeup view of the Herc as the two aircraft moved side-by-side all the way to the ends of the taxiways where the Southwest flight was then cleared to be the first to move on to RNO's runway 16R for departure.

(Grin) Mark, this was one of those "just happened to be in the right place at the right time" pics. Odds are I could pitch a tent in this spotting position and camp out for a year and I wouldn't see this occur again. I especially like the amazing contrast between the military gray C-130 and the super bright paint on the B738.
Best Shot I have seen in a very long time. I wonder if any of the passengers on the B738 thought they were getting a military escort? :)

Sir, I believe that is a 737-700 instead of a 737-800, but I may be wrong.

And I had to grin when I saw the "sir." I was in the military for 20+ years and then I was a middle school / high school teacher for 17+ years and I haven't been called "sir" since then, Paul. ... Gary, a quick tip...300s end in SW, 700s end in WN and 800s end in a single letter...there are exceptions to the rule of course...but I learned that from when I did airline fueling at KBUF...had to know because each type had different size fuel tanks...just an easy way for recognition at a quick glance...
Howdy, Sam. Hey, TYVM for that info regarding SWA's reg numbers. I had noticed the single-letters on their newest fleetbirds but I had not picked up at all on the system they were using. That is cool info to have. Thanx and Thumbs Up.
It was easy to tell the difference from a distance before the 300s got winglets... Anytime buddy
