Antonov An-124 Ruslan (RA-82043)
I (almost) NEVER post two sequential pics of the same aircraft; however, I want both of these photos of RA-82043, an Antonov An-124 Ruslan (NATO identifier: "Condor"), in my photo folder. I'll probably never get another chance to photograph one of these again.
As with the previous pic I posted yesterday, this photo (taken less than two full seconds before the other picture) shows this Antonov Ruslan just off 34L and on the climb while departing RNO for Anchorage International - PANC.

I've had Antonov's An-225 Mryia on my bucket list to photograph even tho I was always certain I'd never get such an opportunity. And I've still got the Mryia on my list. But being able to get some sharp and clean airborne captures of the An-225's smaller sibling, the An-124 Ruslan, is also more than I ever expected, so now I am 99.99% satisfied. And I'll stay that way ... unless, of course, .... Mryia .... (lol).
I'm not always a fan of the dead side on shot but sometimes the plane makes it work and these do, but then you have to do it right, which you've done. Great shot.
Another super snap Gary! Congrats on getting this beauty! 5 *'s
