Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress (N3701G)
A snapshot showing the front office of The Liberty Foundation's B-17 "Madras Maiden" (N3701G ... 44-8543A). Although the cockpit of this Flying Fortress contains a mix of old and new navigational aids and flying controls, there are numerous WWII-era dials and instruments. One of the more interesting areas in the cockpit can be seen along the top left center of the picture where the bomb bay doors switch, Bomb Doors Open light, Bomb Release button, and Bomb Salvo control box are all visible. I have enlarged that part of the pic slightly and included the enlargement as an inset in order to permit a somewhat closer look at that area of the panel.

Also was able to get a pretty close click of the "Sighthead" ** portion of the Norden in the Bombardier's position. Will share soon. (** The "Sighthead" was the detachable, and super secret, part of the Norden.)
Gary, thanks for the extra detail work prior to posting. Well done!
