Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (HL8081)
Yeah, yeah, I know. This pic is totally heat-fractured. But I absolutely do not care. I want this one in my folder anyway. I've been clickin' pics for 58 years and in all those decades I've NEVER had the opportunity to get a shot with FOUR international airlines aircraft ... and NONE of them parked at a gate ... in the same shot. So, even tho this is heat-wave-hammered, I want this one in my folder.
From left to right -----
* China Southern B-789 Dreamliner (CSN B-1293) on short final approach to 28L.
** Korean Air B-789 Dreamliner (KAL HL8081) taxiing to a gate after arriving from Incheon.
*** Japan Airlines B-789 Dreamliner (JAL JA875J) at the Hold Line for Runway 28L departure.
**** China Eastern A332 - the 50th to roll off the assembly line - (CES B-8231) taxiing to queue up behind the JAL Boeing.

If I had to wait almost six DECADES to get a pic with FOUR(!!!!) international pax carriers, all of them either in the air or taxiing, in the same shot; then I think it is a reasonable assumption that I will NEVER get another such photo while I am above the dirt. So no matter how heat-degraded it is, I am ecstatic that I was able to get this snap.
Sometimes ya just gotta grab that opportunity no matter the issues. I find it amazing that with all your years in the field and goodness knows how many photos you've taken that it's taken so long achieve this. Patience pays:)
Gman!!! Invading SFO without me.....Waaaaaa! Great shot and SFO is famous for the haze - cool that you got 4... I have plenty from there...another place is the top floor of the new long term parking lot - you might get 5-10 in one shot depending on what time of day it is. I hope the SFO trip went well. Did you get a ride from Ops or others?
