Boeing 737-800 (N589AS) - A sight such as seen here, which took place exactly 24 hours ago, does not occur at RNO very often -- an actual, for-real, 100% honest-to-goodness ASA B738 landing at Reno-Tahoe International. And it wasnt a diversion; Alaskas N589AS was arriving here from Honolulu (PHNL) on a charter run to bring the University of Nevada - Reno "Wolfpack" football team home after their win against their Mountain West opponents, the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

The Alaska livery is now a regular sight here because Horizon's fleetbirds and SkyWest's Embraers wear the same paint, so seeing the ASA scheme is common; the rarity in this pic is that it captures an Alaska Airlines Boeing 738 landing here. Not that it never happens, but it sure doesn't happen very often. And it wasn't here very long; it was gone about 90 minutes later.
