Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress (N3701G)
"Ye Olde Pub," a B-17G (N3701G, previously "Madras Maiden," prior to that "Chuckie") which, in 2019, was modified to a B-17F; repainted, and renamed as seen here.
N3701G now resembles the bomber that is known for its encounter with a German fighter in the skies over Europe.
** NOTE: Read the book "A Higher Call" by Adam Makos to learn the true story of a German fighter pilot who encountered the severely damaged and crippled "Ye Olde Pub" and made the decision to escort the bomber to safety instead of shooting it down. **

Nice shot, Gary! And that is a GREAT story!. Everyone should read the book. I don't know why they haven't made a movie based on it. They did do a movie based on Adam Makos' book "Devotion" last year. It was very good, and I recommend it (the book and/or movie), as well.
