Lockheed F-35C (16-8843) - One of four of the Navys newest warbirds, a VFA-101 "Grim Reapers" F-35C Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter, is viewed here in a hangar at KNFL. The "Grim Reapers" were at NAS Fallon participating in NAWDC training exercises. I was privileged to be invited to join a staff correspondent for the Navy Times and a representative of Nevada Senator Mark Amodei on a tour to see and photograph the four F-35Cs up close. I was able to snap some fantastic clicks of this one in Hangar 2 and of the other three parked on the ramp. ( * This is the first picture of 168843 to be presented in the FA photo gallery. * )
