Lockheed P-2 Neptune (N355MA)
This Lockheed SP-2H Neptune (N355MA**), which encountered a landing gear problem that resulted in it making a forced landing on 3 Jun 2012, had not flown in the many years since that unfortunate incident but was being worked on when this photo was taken.
** The reg number N355MA that was assigned to this Neptune at the time of the accident has since been cancelled, but the number still appears on the aircraft.
Comments
I would have liked to have been able to go inside and view the cockpit area (the flag is still visible there), but out of concern over my safety and his liability, the owner was unwilling to allow me to enter and I certainly understood his decision.
