"Lexington," Fed Ex's N135FE (a B763), is off Runway 16R and on the climb past Rattlesnake Mountain as it begins the second half of the daily early morning KMEM-KRNO-KMEM round trip run.

The morning sun was up and shining on everything .... EXCEPT the western side of Rattlesnake. And because the mountain, located just a couple thousand feet southeast of Reno's parallel runways, stands higher than the altitude that "Lexington" has achieved thus far in its climb, the Fed Ex B763 is also still in shade. It doesn't take very long for the sun to rise high enough to cast its rays over the top of The Snake, so the opportunity to snap captures like this one only lasts about 30 minutes or so.
Love the atmosphere of this shot.

Viv >> No one up there at the very top. That object is the FAA Obstruction Light structure. The red blinking light does show up if the shutter snap coincides with it but not this time.
