N711NC is the same number on the plane that crashed with Buddy Holly and the others. In fact it was the same make and model of plane. It doesn't feel right that the numbers are being used again.

Yep, I hear you Frank. She is now a fairly late V tail model Bonanza. I believe a V35B. And I think they had departed out of Mason City IA on that fateful day, way back in 1959...

Frank Garrad's comment is not correct, the FAA lists the N number of the aircraft to be N3794N.
