Image showing the disc brake set up on the Main Undercarriage wheels of the Vulcan, the system is a "Maxaret" anti skid unit.

The Vulcan was using DISC BRAKES when 99.5% of Cars WORLDWIDE were still on Drums all round...not bad for an aircraft first designed in 1947...!!!
