Diamond DA-20 (N108WA)
After two go-arounds, a solo student Pilot flying this Diamond DA20-C1 Eclipse attempted to land on RWY 6L on 6 Mar 2014; however, he bounced it pretty hard and couldn’t control it. The aircraft veered off the left side of the runway and took out a distance remaining sign, stop sign, and came to rest on the perimeter road near the rocks, which were just a few feet from the ice-covered Lake Erie. Had it drifted a little more left (north), the results could have been far worse. Luckily, although a bit shaken, the student pilot walked away uninjured.
