McDonnell Douglas FA-18 Hornet (16-5797) - Another shot of a US Navy Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet, VFA-106 Gladiators, from my archives. I had the best seat in the house from atop the air traffic control tower as the F/A-18F was screamed past me just below the speed of sound and created a shock wave and vapor cone seen only for a split-second on 1 Sep 2008 at the Cleveland National Air Show.
