McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (N302RC) - KSFO - rare at the time to see one of these at SFO - ex Republic on Runway 1R pointed for MSP. The Tower Cab in the background is now gone 2019 - and there will be a public Observation deck near this old tower area in the terminal facing the runways - open later this year - though it will be glassed off, time will tell how the area will be for photography.

Looks like some coaldust on the "backend." lol Not long ago, a Delta Dog came thru RNO .... still with a smoky butt. Ah, the good old days when pollution from jet engines was something EVERY airport wanted to have -- it meant that airport had entered the jet age. (grin) Get the jets landing there first; then cry about the pollution later. ***** and * for the memory.
