Boeing 747-400 (VH-OJE) - KLAX - March 1990 not my best photo but this shows VH-OJE smoking 25L arriving from Sydney - the view shows what it used to be like filming from the old Imperial terminal parking lot back in the day. One used to be able to sit here all day and photograph airliners arriving by the minute. The fence used to be about 6ft tall, small barbed wire and ladders were allowed as long as kept back from the fence - before 911 attcks, was about 1 ft back. I used a small pick up truck and I had a 8ft ladder in the back - I can imagine what the digital days would produce if this lot was still open, This photo was a Minolta XD-11 and a 60-300mm lens and color negative converted to a CD, and a crummy job by Costco as it is.
