At Barksdale Air Force Base.

From the 172nd Airlift Wing, MS ANG, based at Thompson Field, Jackson, MS. This unit has a long running airlift mission, including aeromedical evacuation. Also routinely flew SAC crew rotation missions back when the 172nd was operating the C-130E and C-130H Hercules aircraft. The C-130H was replaced by the C-141B Starlifter; followed by the C-17A Globemaster III .
