I recognize that place and experience. I had a Pacer at one time and Lake Hood was my base.

Great shot. I sure do miss sitting out there watching the traffic at ALH.

I took flight training in a Fleet Canuck, 2 seater-side by side; later graduated to 4-seat Cessna 172. Lots of fun joy-riding with Family and Friends around District of Sudbury, Canada winter on skis and summer on floats. Base was Whitewater Lake, west of downtown Sudbury. Touched down sometime at Sudbury Airport north of downtown, and Trout Lake near North Bay a City 100 and some miles east of Sudbury..Maintained licence for 12 or 15 years early 60s. Now I'm 93 YO and have since enjoyed flying by various airliners to many places around the world. Captains never let me try my hand on the yoke or side stick, lol

A great image, plus a very nice approach/landing atop heavy snow fall.
