My first fly was on DC3 with SAS from FRA to DUS. Flight time 1 hour. Date 1956.

First and only flight on DC3, Allegheny Airlines from ERI to EWR, also 1956. So exciting for a 10-year-old flying alone.

You cannot improve on perfection.
I was fortunate to work on the South African Air Force fleet of DC3's a long time ago. We modified them for all kinds of roles.
Even for high altitude photo reconanance, the pilots had Oxegen masks and heated suits.

First DC3 flight. Right out of Army basic training in 1966. One leg of my trip from El Paso to Dothan Alabama. New Orleans to Dothan on a Delta DC3.
