Cool!
Gnuse, IS this a T-6?
Very Nice.... Yes I recall my Father's comments on the T-6 when he was in Flight training (Navy) many decades ago 'that was the most fun plane I ever flew' .. Especially since he ended up flying the tad larger Super Constellation !
Navy trainer version was designated the SNJ.
NO! This is MARINES.Not NAVY
As I understand any SNJ trainer aircraft used by the Marines carried the standard U.S. Navy a/c designation and Navy bureau numbers.
From Joe Baugher's published information, this T-6G Texan, currently with FAA registration N6625C, was USAF serial number 49-3100, and c/n 168-204.
Joe's information also indicates this aircraft was rebuilt from USAAF serial number 42-4048. Sequence in a total of 40 Texans re-manufactured (USAAF s/n 4024/4063, c/n 88-11868/11907) would likely make this North American c/n 88-11892 at the time of original manufacturing.
