Great to see a Phantom Fujiwara !!
Of course this is not the most modern fighter, nor the fastest, that exists or has existed, but for my taste, is one of the most beautiful and aesthetic fighter aircraft that have had many armies in the world. A true beauty that with its wing design is unmistakable.
I worked on the oxygen bay door on this aircraft at McDonnell Company in St Louis. Brings back may memories for an 80 year old ...
I was stationed on USS Saratoga, worked in the engine room, could not wait to go to observation deck to watch air-ops with the F-4 Phantom! Most impressive aircraft!
Great bird, full AB on the cat while standing behind JBD was awesome. USS Saratoga, VF-31
I was stationed at RAF Wattisham in Suffolk UK and worked on the Lightning and Phantom. Both great fighters of there age. Great timesð«¡
Loved watching the Indiana Guard flying these beasts out of KHUF in the early 80's, especially at night!
As a Tactical Air Controller in 70 and 71 in Vietnam, I scrambled hundreds of F-4s on strike mission. It was a very active air war.
Spent some tine with Marine Air Group 13 at Chu Lia in the late 1960s. Four Squadrons of F-4s, VMFA-115, 214, 232, 323. Lots of noise in the mornings when they were launching. Very impressive.
I have over 1,000 hours in a USMC RF-4B and it was a totally awesome experience. I would not trade it for anything. Obviously my favorite fighter of all time.
