What a great pic, but where?
Gavin, as it says KPLU Puyallup, WA
Hi George, thanks for your help. The location wasn't on it when I first sighted the pic which was why I asked and I reckon I saw it very soon after it was posted. Steve may have seen my post and updated it.
The lines of the Piper Cub and variations are simply beautiful in spite of dating back 70 or so years but those steroids-fed tires ruin the whole excercise. Yes, I know, if the grounds are too soft they is the solution.
Reminds me of JRR Tolkien's Lonely Mountain in the "Hobbit" with those clouds wrapped around it like that, but of course there were no Piper Cubs in his story!
Thun Field - Gorgeous!
Great shot! So much to look at, the mountains, lenticular clouds, colors and great lighting on the aircraft. 5 stars!
Fly's like a Cub.
Recognize that anywhere, that's Mt. Rainer in the background. Was stationed @ Ft. Lewis @ one time.
