And what would be the first song that would come to your mind, when looking at this lovely shot?

Wow, speaking of stick and rudder flying...

Absolutely with John Winters, Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines with the inimitable Terry Thomas #RIP
Alan Young
Those magnificent men in their flying machines,
they go up tiddly up up,
they go down tiddly down down.
They enchant all the ladies and steal all the scenes,
with their up tiddly up up
and their down tiddly down down.
Robin Rebhan
Just amazing that someone could/would actually fly in one of these.

Real airplane. Real flying. Elemental and nearly bird-like.
I love it!

When the Roofs get bigger : No good
When the roofs gest smaller: Good!!

"You put a bird in the cockpit, and if it escapes, you've probably got a wire or brace missing."

Great photo

Increible simplificación tecnológica.

Actually, a great piece of aeronautical engineering.

this one I don't think was in TMMITFM, but that will always be one of my favorite Airplane Movies. what better way to express one's feeling in a "Family Movie" than "BLAST!"

An ancient artifact gas tank sitting atop solid, straight-line wings doesn't make me imagine a bird in flight. Plus part of the engine is hanging out. A hillbilly jalopy perhaps.
