LINDEN, NEW JERSEY, USA-OCTOBER 09,2011: Seen on the approach to Newark Liberty International Airport is Linden Airport and runways 27/9. Located about five miles south of Newark, Linden is classified as a general aviation reliever airport and serves as as base of operations for many of the news helicopters operated by T.V. stations in New York City. The empty lot at the top of the picture is where the General Motors Linden Assembly Division factory once stood. During World War II, the factory produced Grumman F4 Wildcat fighter planes which were then brought across the street and flown out of Linden Airport
