FlightAware Releases High-Definition TV Flight Status Display for Aircraft and FBOs

For the first time ever, HDTV flight status and full-screen map displays for business aviation

ORLANDO AND HOUSTON (October 21, 2014) - FlightAware today announced FlightAware TV, a map-based fleet or airport flight tracking display that can run on any HDTV with no custom hardware or installation. Designed for a corporate lobby, office, hangar, or FBO, FlightAware TV brings live FlightAware maps and status information to a beautiful, seamless, full-screen HDTV display.

For aircraft operators, FlightAware TV Fleet displays a large, real-time map of a fleet's positions as well as a list of previous and upcoming flights. For customers of FlightAware Global or Selective Unblocking, any international, data link, or blocked data on the account is automatically included.

For FBOs and airport operators, FlightAware TV Airport displays general aviation flights, airline flights, or both. The map shows en route aircraft arriving or departing an airport. The adjacent animated arrival/departure board lists flights that are en route or scheduled to arrive at an airport as well as scheduled departures.

Setup is as easy as plugging in any modern (2011 or newer) laptop into any 1080p or 720p HDTV and typing in a secure, custom FlightAware TV URL. The screen automatically updates, animates, and refreshes over any available Internet connection.

PRICING
FlightAware TV is $90 per month or $45 per month for existing subscribers to FlightAware FlightAware Global, Selective Unblocking, FBO ToolBox, or FlightAware Enterprise account holders.
