What an incredibly bogus article! Landing, taking off, gear collapse, Oh Duh, passing mention of the fire trucks crossing the runway! And they managed to miss the first on the port side before the idiots in truck two caused a fire, let alone the destruction of a 5 year old AB. ATC is in there somewhere in a big way! No mention of that.

JF, you should at least read the garbage before you squawk it, and ASN should be embarressed that they published it.

The news moves a bit slower among time zones.


The airport operator has made public statements that the fire trucks were on a prearranged drill. (3-minute response time drill )

And yes, it quickly becomes a finger-pointing exercise with the Peru ATC organization

All related to the massive expansion project that includes an "almost complete" second parallel runway plus new fire station midfield between old and new runways. at LIM / SPJC
