AIR TRANSAT BUYING AIR CANADA IS DEAD WRONG. AIR CANADA IS PAYING 500 MILLION FOR THIS AIRLINE AND CHARTER SERVICES. IT WILL GIVE AIR CANADA THE ABILITY TO OPEN UP MORE NEW MARKETS. PREVIOSLY UNAVAILABLE ARE NOW ABLE TO REACH THESE NEW DESTINATIONS THIS SQUAWK IS SIMPLY INCORRECT TO STATE THAT AIR TRANSAT WAS BUYING AIR CANADA. THAT IS SIMPLY A VVERY COLD PIPE DREAM.

Don’t know where you got that from.. the article states “air canada in talks to take over air transat” and in the heading above it says Aircanada to acquire airtransat. No where does it say Air Transat to buy air canada ?!

Note: The first squawk I neglected to mention that AIR TRANSAT WAS PURCHASED BY AIR CANADA. SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT TTHEY ARE STUCK ON THANKS TO THIS DYING TABLET.
