just fantisizing here: what if the 787-9 was capable of inflight refueling? Boeing does know how to do that, the airlines surely have some former kc-135, kc-11 or c-130 refueling pilot veterans. No more range problems, easier on take-off airframe and engine strain, etc....laugh about it- sure, then think a bit about it......
