Lion Air says goodbye to its only Boeing 747

Lion Air said goodbye to its only Boeing 747-400 this weekend with a special ceremony attended by the employees. The airline was one of the few low-cost operators that still flew the Jumbo jet. Lion Air used its Boeing 747 (PK-LHG) until the end of last year on domestic flights and pilgrim flights to Saudi Arabia. Boeing delivered the Jumbo Jet to Singapore Airlines in 1989. In 2006, Oasis Hong Kong Airlines sold the aircraft to Lion Air. From now on, the Indonesian low-cost carrier will operate… (airlinerwatch.com) More...
