Am I alone in thinking windshield failure is a possible explanation for the disappearance of the still missing MH 777?

I heard the 777 has a known issue with windshield fires. That could have been the cause but I heard that the plane flew in a way to avoid radar so who knows.

I haven't heard any airplane was lost due to broken windows... Heck, because of people are so paranoid about the windows they were extra reinforced. That is one reason why purpose built freighter can carry more than converted freighter
