I probably watched many of those birds returning from their first flight over north Georgia. I heard just about every one take off on that flight. I love watching them fly.

Question: How do these aircraft decelerate on landing? Is it all nose up, "speed brakes" deployed and all maneuverable surfaces canted for max air deflection, with some danged good brakes?

I have seen F-15 pilots use the nose up for as long as possible method for slowing it down even with a speed brake. So much more area compared to normal speed brakes.

That's what i was seeing in every video I could conjure up. Didn't hear or see any kind of thrust reverse, which probably makes sense in a military fighter. Thanks!
