Flight Emirates airline vows "sledgehammer" reply to U.S. subsidy allegations

Dubai carrier Emirates will deliver a "sledgehammer" response to a report compiled by U.S. carriers accusing major Gulf airlines of receiving more than $40 billion in unfair government subsidies, its president Tim Clark said on Tuesday. "Having read the report, you could drive a bulldozer through just about everything ... And billions in bankruptcy support/bailouts. Southwest is successful in fuel hedging and currently the US oil production has given a big break in global oil prices too. Emirates and the middle east airlines are running in the top safest airlines.

Some of us cattle class people can't afford to be airline picky.

Well, I guess maybe we have done our share but everyone of them little 3rd world countries over there that we rebuilt, propped up, and apologized to, are now dead set on kicking our butts. I am like Scott here. If we don't wake up and support the home boys we won't have a butt left for them to kick. To have jobs and production in America, you got to BUY American.

Yes its sad when an Airline named American has a large fleet of Airbus and more on the way.

If they would have just been able to keep Douggie Boy and his ego at bay, they wouldn't have and would've left him hung out to dry. Sad part is, he ain't done real bad since stepping in and moving TH aside.
