The first commercial Boeing 787-9 service flew Auckland to Sydney today – a revenue flight carrying cargo rather than passengers – but passengers will get their turn from August 9 as daily trans-Tasman proving flights begin ahead of the official Auckland-Perth inaugural on October 15.
