House Committee Passes Transparent Airfares Act of 2014

Submitted
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee passed new legislation that will help ensure that airline passengers know how much of their ticket price goes to federal taxes. The Transparent Airfares Act of 2014 will prevent airlines from incorporating government taxes in advertised prices. (www.frequentbusinesstraveler.com) More...

This is good news. This 2012 law was a disgusting way to try and villainize an already villainized industry by making it look to the casual consumer that airlines suddenly raised prices across the board by 15%-20% when in fact the government was simply trying to hide the fact that they are imposing higher tax rates on air travel and "security" than are put on alcohol and in some cases tobacco.

OK Flight Aware. In everyone of these STUPID lame spamming posts the name is repeated twice. Is it that hard to incorporate and algorithm that prohibits the introduction of such names? I report spam, and vote it down, but this is beyond frustrating. I view squawks to read good aviation posts, not how I can try to be conned into clicking on spam-ware.
